Energy Saving Solid State Flow Monitoring System

Oman Consulting, Inc. announced production of a short video demonstrating the operation of its solid state continuous recording fluid flow meter, Hydro-Max.  The video can be viewed at www.rdoman.com/hydro-max.

Further development work leading to a practical device will be in the following areas:

1)  Make the software capable of storing many hours of data,

2)  Perform a study showing the utility of combining flow data and temperature data in a hot water supply system to determine the savings in heating (energy cost) for specific hot water requirements.

3)  Correlate the output of the sensor to the actual flow rate of the water.

With continuous replacement of water systems in hotels there is a large market for reliable data on water usage.  Combining water use data with temperature data will provide for more efficient use of water heaters and the attendant cost savings.

With actual use data, the cost of the heating system is reduced and monitoring water use and temperature for control of the supply system provides an additional cost savings.

Oman Consulting, Inc., based in St. Petersburg, FL was founded in 1998 to provide scientific consulting and educational services.  Despite considerable experience in development, activities of the corporation have been so far devoted to educational and consulting work.  Development of this consumer product is a new venture.

With production of this short video of the FlowMonitor we will now turn our attention to development of the device for practical applications and start on securing patent protection.  Other applications of the device are being considered.
